Well June came and went and the longest day is past as we head on into July. I Enjoyed some lovely weather in June which really helped to make the Shutford Festival a truly quintessential English summers day!
I’ve always known the first 2 weeks of July as holiday time as they were designated as the annual wakes holiday in Bury. Dating back to the time of closing the local mills for a fortnight so that everybody could have a holiday, Blackpool being a popular destination. Alas that tradition just like the cotton mills is now long gone but I will still be heading off to the seaside just the same for my first ever gig in Eastbourne.
Saturday 15th July I will be playing at the Printers Playhouse from 8:30pm, its free admission so would be good to see some of my friends from “darn sarf”…..please come down and say hello it would be great to see ya! For further details,
Then moving onto Friday 28th July 7pm I will be playing a bit closer to home at the Vine in Cheltenham as part of Vinestock, for further details,
As always please keep in touch via the contact page and say hello. Any projects, gigs or assignments please let m know.
Let’s hope the sun comes back for July.
See you further on up the road.
